This week was super fun and lots of things happened. In the beginning of the week, me and my friends started off by going to skate around town. We didn’t really find anything to skate all day because the parks are still closed, but towards the end of monday we got a call from a local skater/photographer. His name is Benji and he takes really good action shots while we skate big things. We met him at Hope school because there is this really good rail to skate. I wanted to get a trick on the rail. The trick is called a krooked grind, it is where you grind down the rail on the front of your trucks only. While I was trying the trick, Benji would be taking photos of every single try so he would have a bunch to choose from. On one of the tries, I ended up falling into the street and cutting my hands open on the gravel. I went back up to try it again and a few tries later the same thing happened and my hands were aching. I sat down for a little bit to take a break and Benji took a photo of my hands. Here it is…

I really wanted to land this trick, so I went back up and kept trying. A few tries later I landed it and it felt so good to roll away. Here is the photo of the grind…

After landing the trick all my friends came over and gave me a hug or a high five because they were happy to see me land it. Benji took some photos of us all gathered around after I landed it and the pictures all turned out really good. Here is the photo after I landed it…

After this day, the whole rest of the week me and my friends went around to different rails and stair sets to get big tricks and Benji came to get photos and skate with us. On Thursday morning, my friends Trey and Eddie woke up with me at 5:30 AM to go skate a rail because the rail is at a daycare place and they kick you out since they are there from 8 am to 8pm. When we got to the rail it was only 6 am and I started trying the trick. I probably rolled up to the rail 20 times before I committed to it because it was super scary to hop on and I didn’t know if I was going to fall really hard. I finally got myself to try it and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. About 10 tries later I ended up landing it before people came to kick us out. Overall it was worth waking up early to get the trick. That’s pretty much the main events that happened this week and I’m glad I learned these new tricks. Me and my friends are starting to make a full video part. Anyways, see you next week.
